StampDutyCal is an independent website operating under the StampDutyCal name. We help property buyers understand purchase taxes through straightforward calculators, worked examples and explanations.
What we do
Our calculators estimate SDLT for England and Northern Ireland, LBTT for Scotland and LTT for Wales. Buyer-specific calculators explain first-time buyer, additional-property, buy-to-let and non-resident scenarios. Our guides cover rates, refunds, deadlines and transactions that need a more specific assessment.
Who maintains the information?
StampDutyCal researches and maintains the calculations and content. Our review consists of our own research using published government information and checks of supported calculations. It is not an independent review by a qualified tax professional.
We update the information when rules change. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances, so an estimate should be checked with your conveyancer before you rely on it for a transaction.
